Description: | The Lorenzonetto family has always handed down from father to son the art of winemaking and vineyard cultivation, scrupulously observing ancient traditions while keeping up to date with modern techniques in both viticulture and oenology. The winery is located in the Friulian plain, particularly in the wine-growing area called “Friuli Latisana”. Our production area has been renowned since the 15th century when the son of the Doge Andrea Vendramin Bartolomeo, coming to live in the Latisana fief established a reputable horse farm and gave impetus to the cultivation, particularly that of the vine. This is the reason why the “Vino Furlano della Tisana” was widespread in Venice and maintained a very good reputation in the capital of the Serenissima. Latisana wine was also called “Vino Vendramino,” from the names of the Venetian patricians Vendramin. The Lorenzonetto winery has opted in the last decade to purchase high-tech wine-making machines and wine vessels made of stainless steel. All the rooted vines replanted in our vineyards come from decades of clonal selection, which has shown a preeminent role among the genetic improvement methods implemented in the main viticultural countries. Pruning, winter and summer, is done by manual techniques that allow us to accurately distinguish the shoots with better aptitude for the production of quality grapes. Harvesting is also carried out manually, ensuring that the grapes are selected and cleanly placed in containers for transport to the winery. All this, combined with the commitment and seriousness of the people who work in our winery, allows us to obtain wines that can satisfy every gastronomic pairing requirement, from aperitifs to desserts. |
