| Description: | Mont’Albano was born in 1985 in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia, from the intuition of Mauro Braidot who, going against the majority of producers of the time, converted his 5 hectares of vineyard to the organic production method. The winery grew rapidly thanks to his philosophy and his excellent Friulian wines, so in 1998 the winery was enlarged and Mont’Albano sas was established. In addition to its own blends, it began processing third-party grapes, supplied by loyal regional producers who respect the strict principles that Mont’Albano requires in order to put its own mark on the product. In 2008 Mont’Albano sas entered the orbit of the Sartori Group of Verona, forming Mont’Albano spa sp. Combining its experience in organic with the tradition of the historic Verona winery, which had already approached an organic viticulture project a few years ago, the product range was expanded, allowing the Mont’Albano brand to offer customers not only wines from the Veneto region, but also wines from Abruzzo and Sicily from companies that are part of the Sartori group. To date, logistics and administration are carried out in Verona, and the wines are produced by vintners who are certified “organic” according to the institutional parameters promoted by the agencies in charge and trusted by Mont’Albano, which, in the various regions, controls not only the legislative parameters but also the fidelity of the producers to the principles that have now been promoted by Mont’Albano for 30 years. In Friuli remains the project’s progenitor, Mont’Albano Agricola, which produces a range of niche, flagship wines. |
