| Description: | The “La Magnolia,” winery, founded by the Cozzarolo family, was established in 1989 in Spessa di Cividale del Friuli, in the heart of the Colli Orientali. It was Guido Cozzarolo in the 1960s who bought the current property and planted the first rootstocks. Over time and with the sacrifices of the entire family, the winery has grown and developed. Each member of the family has been fundamental, such as Claudio: Cristina’s brother, who after graduating as an oenologist left a decisive imprint on the winery’s success. Unfortunately, today Claudio is no longer with us, but Cristina leads her work with passion and dedication thanks also to the support of her father Guido and mother Pia, with the support of her husband Alfredo and her three children: Sofia, Alberto and Eleonora. Today the winery has 40 hectares and produces almost 2,500 hectoliters of wine a year. The winery’s offerings are capable of indulging any palate, covering a range from international wines to indigenous ones, high-profile passiti wines such as the precious Picolit, white and rosé sparkling wines, and ending with the most authoritative Ubi Es, from the Latin ” wherever you are,” the only barrique red wine particularly suitable for aging, created to revive Claudio through one of the winery’s most precious products, which just like him over time will always know how to evolve and transform. As good memories do. Recently, in a wing of the cellar, a cozy Bed & Breakfast was created through careful restoration. On the ground floor you will find the large room with a stone fireplace, cool in summer and warm in winter, when you want to be in the company of a nice fire and a good glass of wine. Going up to the second floor, on the other hand, you are greeted by the rooms, decorated in soft pastel green colors and magnolia flowers to always make you feel “at home. |
